Eight groups for the home, from kettles and cleaning to heaters, bedding and bulbs, rebuilt every morning. A product appears only when its price is at least 10% below its own median over our daily checks, or Amazon runs a time-limited deal on it.

How we sort real deals from the rest

  • Real deal today means this morning's price is at least 10% below the product's own median price over our daily checks, or Amazon is running a time-limited deal on it.
  • A crossed-out price on its own never counts. Products where Amazon showed a discount of 10% or more at every one of our checks are counted separately as always "on offer".
  • We check every product in our list once each morning. The median test needs at least 7 daily checks; an Amazon time-limited deal counts from the first check.

Electrical Safety First advises buying heaters from a reputable retailer rather than a third-party seller online, and avoiding second-hand heaters. An Amazon listing shows who sells and who ships the item. Read that line before buying a heater just because it is cheap this morning.

Bulk packs and unit prices

Toilet roll, laundry capsules and dishwasher tablets come in many pack sizes. A real deal on a small pack can still cost more per roll or per wash than a large pack at its usual price, so compare the unit price on the listing where Amazon shows one.

What is left out

Fans, air conditioners and evaporative coolers are out of this page for autumn and winter. Gas, paraffin and propane heaters burn fuel indoors and are left out all year.
