How we sort real deals from the rest

A deal on something you will not unpack until spring is money spent early. Kettle, pans, bedding, towels and a way to clean the floor come first; the rest can wait.

Extension leads

Electrical Safety First says not to plug appliances into an extension lead that add up to more than its maximum current rating, and never to plug one extension lead into another. Renting

Screws and nails leave holes in a rented wall. If your tenancy says anything about fixings, read it before you buy shelves or hooks.
